OMMA Patient Drives

Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Patient Licensing Information

Please call for an appointment, we do not currently have the ability to make appointments online.

In Oklahoma, you need to carry a Medical Marijuana License to purchase medical marijuana. At Homestead CBD, we host twice monthly patient card drives to connect patients with doctors for referrals and help in completing the OMMA application.

The normal process of applying for your OMMA card has three steps.

  • Step one is to get a doctor referral (similar to a prescription).

  • Step two is to upload that referral along with your information, photo, and payment to the OMMA website.

  • Step three is checking your email to see if there were any issues with your application that need to be resolved and waiting for your new license in the mail.

  • Once approved, your OMMA license will last two years, then it will need to be renewed.

What to expect

You can set up an appointment by calling us or walk-in during our OMMA Patient Card Drives. See a list of upcoming card drives. While walk-ins are welcome, we recommend appointments. These events are getting busier and we staff based on the number of appointments.

Please review this OMMA Checklist for what the state requires to submit your application.

When you enter the store, you will be asked to sign in and then be given some paperwork asking some medical history questions for the prescribing doctor’s records. Please bring your phone, tablet, or laptop to complete the application on the OMMA website. We have a computer you can use; however, it is easier for you to save your login info and use autofill for application questions on your own device.

You will need access to an email account to link to and verify your OMMA account.

You will then visit with a physician over video chat who will ask you about your health and then email you a referral form. The doctor visit is $35.00 and must be paid in cash. *Doctor referral is not guaranteed and is 100% up to the doctor, although usually there are no issues. If no referral is given, you will not be charged.

Once you have received your doctor referral via email (within minutes of finishing your appointment with the doctor), someone will help you upload it to the OMMA website and take your picture. OMMA has strict photo approval rules, so you will be asked to remove hats, glasses, and jewelry. Check photo requirements (pdf).

The last step to complete your application is to submit the state fee. The standard application fee is $100 and must be paid by card. Individuals who provide acceptable proof of Medicaid (SoonerCare) or Medicare enrollment or status as a 100% disabled veteran will pay a reduced fee of $20. Application fees must be paid by Visa, MasterCard, or Discover credit or debit card. An additional credit card processing fee will be added to the transaction. These application and processing fees are non-refundable. The payment will not be refunded for applications not approved.

At this point, you need to check your email to make sure your application was approved then just wait for your new license in the mail! It usually takes two or more weeks for the state to approve and mail out your license. Once you have your license, you can start shopping at Order Online! Please do not throw away unopened mail in the time between when you submit your application and receive your license, it comes in an inconspicuous envelope that could be confused with junk mail.

If you have any other questions, please visit the OMMA website, FAQs, or call us at (405) 906-3254.
